For best results, install this heating element with a new Reimers MBJ16 heating element gasket kit (Otto Frei part number 123.797), which includes the parts needed to reuse your existing Reimers 04163 Thermostat Control if it is still serviceable. If you need gaskets only, Reimers 02281 gaskets are available separately (Otto Frei part number 123.798).

Reimers 04163 Thermostat Controls are available separately (Otto Frei part number 123.796). A pre-assembled Reimers MBJ4-1500A heating element with thermostat already installed is also available (Otto Frei part number 123.794) — a popular choice when both the heating element and thermostat require replacement due to corrosion or age. If you purchase the combination heating element and thermostat, a gasket should be purchased separately.
