Knew Concepts Bench Clamp-Anvil Type

A bench clamp lets you create a proper working surface on any table, and this one mounts a bench pin or GRS system tooling anywhere in the shop. The Knew Concepts Bench Clamp, Anvil Type, is engineered from two pieces of aircraft grade aluminum and carries a GRS style dovetail mounting plate. It is compact and fully portable, so it travels to shows and off site work, and it adjusts to table thicknesses from 3/4" (19mm), a lightweight card table, up to 3-5/8" (94mm) on a heavy woodworker's bench.

Knew Concepts engineered real flexibility into the two piece clamping system. The black aluminum angle base reassembles in four different positions, with two length settings on each leg and a range of offset holes that overlap on purpose, so the clamping screw can always be placed to clear support rails, lips or other obstructions under the work surface. There is always something in the way, and this clamp gives you the options to work around it.

This is the Anvil Type (part number 149.666ANVIL), distinguished by a steel insert for hammering and a dual scale ruler in metric and inch on the upper plate. That upper plate is Mil-spec Class 3 hard anodized aluminum, about as hard as aluminum gets, so an accidental file slip will not transfer contamination to your work. It is not a dedicated anvil, but it is built to take real bench work. Proudly made in the USA.

Compatibility

The dovetail plate is GRS style, so it accepts bench pins and GRS system tooling. It also works with the GRS dovetail fixed mounting plate (Otto Frei 104.557, GRS 004-557), sold separately.
