Description

Detail sanding and finishing inside settings, along shanks, and anywhere a rotary tool has to reach small areas. Japanese Roll Sanders are precision abrasive tools designed for detail sanding and finishing work in jewelry and metalsmithing. Each roll sander consists of high-quality waterproof aluminum oxide abrasive paper wrapped around a 3/32" (2.35 mm) diameter shank. The paper is bonded with glue at the base, so the roll stays securely wrapped until you are ready to expose a fresh layer of abrasive, giving you consistent, controlled cutting action throughout the life of the tool. Made in Japan. Sold in packs of 10.

Very good sanding drums

Great for cleaning up the inside of rings and excellent all around. The finer grits leave a nice smooth almost prepolished surface which polishes out quickly using a polish like fabuluster..

Wonderful tools

Once you try these Japanese made sanding rolls, you just might toss out all your older style cartridge rolls, even though these are a lot most costly. Permanently mounted, they run smoother, without bumping or vibration. High quality abrasive paper leaves a more uniform finish than cheaper sanding rolls. They cut faster, work better, and are well worth the cost. For me, about the only real competition these have are Kate Wolf's split drum sanding drums, which you use with your choice of abrasive. Those are very versatile for use with whatever precision abrasive you wish, such as various 3M products. But these drums, once you use them, they'll become your standard tools.
