The Miland #5 Cylinder Anticlastic Pliers feature a 2" (50 mm) diameter cylinder with a 3/8" (9.5 mm) wide channel, purpose-built for forming anticlastic curves in metal. Unlike synclastic shaping, anticlastic forming produces a saddle-shaped curve—bending in opposite directions simultaneously—making these pliers ideal for bracelets, rings, bangles, hoops, and jewelry repair work. A unique full steel ring allows the thumb to apply controlled pressure for creating tight curvatures with greater ease and precision than conventional dapping tools.
