The Nakanishi NSK Emax EVOlution NE-249 (Catalog Number EMX8224) is the upgraded successor to the Electer E-max control unit, delivering meaningful improvements in display clarity, motor management, and ergonomics for professional jewelers and metalsmiths who demand precision rotary control at the bench.

The most significant advancement over earlier models is the new digital display, which provides an easy-to-read motor speed readout alongside a load meter that alerts the user when the handpiece is being overloaded — helping to protect both the tool and the workpiece. The unit also introduces the Memory Speed Function FIXpeed, which enables independent foot switch operation for the A and B motors: the A Motor foot switch functions as on/off, while the B Motor foot switch offers variable speed control. A built-in hand grip further refines the ergonomic profile of the unit.

Important Compatibility Notice: The Emax EVOlution uses a different motor cord pin configuration than the Electer E-max. The Electer E-max micromotor and foot control are not compatible with this control unit and will not attach to it.

Compatibility

The Emax EVOlution NE-249 is not compatible with the Electer E-max micromotor or foot control. The motor cord pin configuration has changed between generations, and Electer E-max accessories will not attach to this control unit.
