Italian Disk Cutter Set of 17, 2mm to 18mm (3/32" to 3/4")

This Italian-made disk cutter set includes 17 punches ranging from 2mm to 18mm (approximately 3/32" to 3/4"), designed for professional jewelers and metalsmiths who need precise, clean round disks from soft precious and non-ferrous metals. Constructed from specially hardened tool steel with sharp cutting edges and extremely close tolerances, this set delivers consistent, accurate results across a wide range of disk sizes.

The set is designed for use with a mallet or hydraulic press and is suitable for cutting soft precious metals such as gold and silver up to 18 gauge thick. Copper and brass may also be cut with appropriate care. The cutter can be disassembled to help free any punches that become lodged in the cut material. Made in Italy.

How to Use a Disk Cutter

1. Place the disk cutter on top of a rubber pad for support.
2. Apply a cutting lubricant, such as Stay Sharp, to the cutting edges of the punch.
3. Use a suitable mallet—never a nail-driving hammer. Brass mallets are recommended.
4. Support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of the same diameter metal being cut to maintain alignment and minimize sticking.
5. Do not exceed the maximum recommended material thickness for this disk cutter.
6. Only cut soft, non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, silver, and gold.
7. Ensure cutting edges are facing down before striking.
8. To prevent rust, lubricate the disk cutter between uses and store in a dry location.
9. Use with a 95 durometer urethane pad to help extend the life of the cutters.
