Ceraton Round Ceramic Fiber Files 2.34mm x 50mm

Ceraton round ceramic fiber files offer a revolutionary approach to finishing and polishing hard-to-reach areas in jewelry and metalsmithing work. These rods are constructed from ceramic and glass fibers bonded with a thermosetting resin, producing a thin, rigid polishing rod with exceptional tensile strength that resists snapping or breaking even at high rotational speeds.

Each rod measures 2.34 mm (3/32") in diameter and 50 mm (2") in length, making them a direct fit for popular 3/32" fixed collet quick-change handpieces. Use them in any rotating handpiece or in Badeco polishing handpieces designed for back-and-forth motion, including the Badeco 8LC100 micro polishing/filing handpiece for flex shaft use and the Badeco 4LC100 for Badeco micromotor systems.

Ceraton rods can be used whole by hand or broken to create small custom tools. Dress them with diamond wheels — such as the 110.175 or 110.180 — to form custom profiles ideal for tight corners, filigree holes, and intricate detail work. Tips can also be shaped using abrasive paper for further customization. Nine color-coded grits are available, ranging from aggressive stock removal to fine polishing.
