Description

This chain makers drawplate is made in the USA from Delrin, a high-performance polymer that offers a gentler reduction than steel drawplates and is far more durable than wood. When woven chain is pulled through the plate, the holes gradually reduce the chain's diameter while bringing it to a consistent, uniform size — a critical step in finishing quality woven chain work. Unlike steel, Delrin applies smooth, even pressure that won't stress or distort delicate chain structures. Unlike wood, Delrin resists cracking and breaking under repeated use.

Features

  • Made in the USA from Delrin polymer for lasting durability
  • Gentler chain reduction compared to steel drawplates
  • More break-resistant than wood drawplates

  • Produces uniform chain diameter for consistent, professional results
  • Ideal for finishing and sizing woven chain

Nice drawplate, smoother than wood

I could make myself but time is money too. The backside is beveled in on each size which helps with the pull. I have been working with some woven chain, and this board was smoother and had more holes to draw down in smaller increments than my previous board that is hardwood.
