Otto Frei Flat Nose 5-1/8" Fully Polished "Naked" Pliers

These fully polished 5-1/8" flat nose pliers are handcrafted without leaf springs or vinyl grips — a design known as "Naked" — resulting in a completely mirror-polished tool from tip to handle. Because every surface requires hand polishing, these pliers represent a step up in finish quality from spring-and-grip styles.

Otto Frei Mirror Polished Pliers are handmade in a small, family-owned factory in Germany, where the craft of producing high-quality jeweler's tools has been passed down through generations. The special mirror polish and meticulous construction distinguish these pliers from similarly priced alternatives. Perfectly balanced and shaped, with precisely formed tips and the highest level of fit and finish available, these pliers are matched and true throughout.

Originally requested by the Revere Academy, these pliers are produced in the same German factory as the Revere pliers. The sole difference is handle treatment — Otto Frei Naked pliers feature plain handles, while the Revere line uses scalloped, dental-style handles.

All Otto Frei German-made pliers are constructed from tough carbon steel, which outlasts stainless steel in demanding use. Note that carbon steel is susceptible to rust if exposed to moisture or the elements — store your pliers in a protected environment when not in use.
