Graver Handle-Mushroom

The Mushroom Graver Handle is a classic, hand-shaped wood handle designed for engravers and stonesetting professionals. Its distinctive mushroom profile fits naturally in the palm, providing comfortable control and steady guidance during detailed engraving work. Each handle is fitted with metal ferrules at both ends—reinforcing the structure to prevent splitting and firmly securing the graver tang in place.

Pre-drilled guide holes make fitting your graver straightforward, whether you prefer the heat method or a mechanical approach. Because this is a handmade natural wood product, size and color may vary slightly from piece to piece.

Graver Fitting Methods

There are two common methods for fitting a graver to this handle:

1. Heat Method: Heat the tang of the graver until red hot, then press it firmly into the guide hole. The hot tang burns a precise, custom fit directly into the wood.
2. Drill and Hammer Method: Use a drill to slightly enlarge the guide hole, then grind the graver tang to a point. Place a wood block over the graver tip to protect it, then hammer the tang into the handle.
