Locking Bank Option

The Locking Bank Option is a custom add-on modification for the John Frei Workbench, allowing the entire bank of drawers to be secured with a single key. Because this feature requires significant hidden internal hardware and must be integrated during the original build process, it cannot be retrofitted onto an already-built bench. It is available exclusively as part of a custom order.

When this option is selected, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for your bench to ship, as each unit is built from scratch to accommodate the modification. The only visible change to the bench's appearance is the key location, positioned on the inside of the drawer bank — one key controls the lock for the entire bank of drawers.

Because your bench will be fully hand-built to your specifications, this is an ideal time to consider adding other available options as well, creating a workbench that is truly customized for your workflow.
