Swiss Blue Topaz is the trade name used to describe a vivid medium to medium-dark blue hue of topaz. This gem is a great alternative to aquamarine, offering more intense color at a lower price point—making it an excellent choice for jewelers and designers seeking vibrant blue stones without the premium cost of comparable gems.
While blue topaz is popular and plentiful in the jewelry market, naturally occurring blue topaz is very rare. These stones begin as colorless topaz, then undergo irradiation and heat treatment to produce the characteristic vivid blue color. Available in four oval cabochon sizes, these stones are well-suited for a wide range of setting styles and custom jewelry applications.
Care: Clean with warm, soapy water only. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners. Handle with extra care due to possible cleavage.
