Artifex Wheel 6" Diameter Conforming Wheels

Artifex conforming wheels are made in Germany of silicon carbide bonded on a non-clogging spongy rubber base. The cushion effect eliminates gouging on precious metals, allowing these wheels to conform to contours far better than standard silicon carbide rubber-bonded wheels. Though priced at a premium, Artifex wheels deliver long-term economy through exceptional durability that outlasts the competition.

Originally developed for industrial applications in Germany, jewelers have adopted Artifex wheels as a dependable abrasive for deburring and producing smooth matte finishes quickly and easily—with minimal dust and debris. This 6" (150mm) diameter size is available in Fine (250 Grit) and Medium (150 Grit) for use on standard jewelers tapered spindles with a polishing lathe.
