The Straight Threaded Mandrel with Nut features a 1/4" diameter shank and is designed to mount grinding and polishing wheels securely in a flex shaft, pendant drill, or compatible rotary tool. The threaded design with included nut allows wheels to be clamped firmly in place, minimizing wobble during use. This mandrel is compatible with wheels that have a 1/4" (6.4 mm) center hole, up to 3" (76 mm) in diameter, and up to 1/2" (12.7 mm) thick. It is a popular choice for use with Cratex rubberized abrasive wheels and similar grinding or polishing wheels used in jewelry finishing and metalsmithing work.
