Presidium MPIREM Inside Ring Engraving Machine

Cut a name or a date into the inside of a ring at the bench, one traced character at a time, without a laser or a rotary spindle.

The Presidium MPIREM Inside Ring Engraving Machine is a compact, precision-built diamond drag scratch engraver for inside ring engraving. It is based on a design jewelers and engravers have used for over 60 years, and it delivers that same performance while taking up far less bench space and moving more easily.

The MPIREM has first-class fit and finish, with precision-cut and finished dials that give a smooth, consistent glide under the tracer, which is what you want when the ring on the holder is a customer's heirloom.

The machine uses a circular dial system for block lettering. The included 2-sided single-line block dial carries large upper case slanted type on one side and smaller upper case non-slanted type on the other. This is a fixed-ratio machine, so engraving height is set by the character height on the dial in use: the included dial produces diamond scratch engraving at either 1mm or 2mm in height inside a ring, depending on which side you use.

Engraving height is not adjustable, but letter spacing is, through the ratcheting advance mechanism, which gives precise control over character placement. The adjustable 3-way ring holding system takes in effectively any ring size and shape.
