The Presidium PDT Duo Tester combines two distinct testing methods into a single professional instrument, giving jewelers and gemologists the tools needed to accurately identify diamonds, diamond simulants — including synthetic moissanite — and popular colored gemstones. Unlike a standard thermal tester alone, this unit simultaneously performs both thermal conductivity testing and digital reflectivity measurement through a single probe at the press of one button.

Notes

• All stones identified as diamond by the thermal tester should also be tested with the reflectivity meter to rule out synthetic moissanite, as moissanite shares the same thermal conductivity as diamond.
