Italian 6 Spline Ring Stretcher & Reducer

Designed for professional jewelers working with precious metal wedding bands, the Italian 6 Spline Ring Stretcher & Reducer enlarges and reduces gold, platinum, and similar precious metal bands with minimal effort. Made in Italy, this top-quality unit features a six-spline enlarging mandrel calibrated and marked in USA quarter ring sizes from size 3 through size 15. It can be bolted securely to a bench or used as a portable tool, offering flexibility in the workshop.

Not for use with steel or titanium bands. Always inspect bands for previous sizing work before stretching — bands that have been previously sized and soldered may split at the seam. Only seamless precious metal wedding bands should be stretched using this tool. The amount of enlargement possible depends entirely on the thickness and type of band; thinner bands will size up less than thicker bands.

The double-sided reducing plate features sixteen openings (eight per side) and is smoothly polished to prevent marring. It is used to slightly reduce the size of plain round precious metal (gold and platinum) wedding bands. Size reduction is typically no more than 0.5 of a USA finger size, depending on band thickness and width.
