Hard temper: holds shape well for setting work but does not bend readily. If you plan extensive bending or wrapping, anneal the wire first.

Annealing tip: flux the wire, heat to a dull red, then quench in pickle once it cools below red.
- Edges may be sharp or slightly rough from manufacture; finish as needed before setting.
- Sterling silver can tarnish. Store in airtight packaging with anti-tarnish strips and clean with a mild polish or appropriate tarnish remover.
