Wood Dapping Die & Punch Set with 8 Hemispheres & 6 Punches

Shape larger metal discs into smooth, low-profile domes with this hardwood dapping die and punch set. Designed for metalsmiths and jewelry makers working at a larger scale, this set features a solid hardwood dapping block with 8 hemispherical depressions ranging from 3/4" to 4" in diameter — ideal for forming broad, shallow curves in sheet metal. The dimensions refer to the diameter of the sphere each depression is capable of producing, so the smallest hollow yields a sphere with a 3/4" diameter and the largest produces a sphere with a 4" diameter.

Six wood punches are included: three punches with a 7/8" diameter head, each with a slightly different dome profile, plus three larger-diameter punches also featuring subtly varied dome contours. The graduated dome variations allow for refined control over the depth and curvature of your formed pieces.
