The Badeco 437 Quick Change Handpiece (Part #134.747) is a precision twist-turn handpiece designed for flex shaft use with 3/32" diameter shafts. Originally imported from Badeco of Switzerland by Otto Frei over 30 years ago, this handpiece has long been regarded as one of the most rugged and finely built quick change handpieces available for professional bench use. Following a renewed agreement with Badeco of Switzerland as their main North American distributor, the 437 is once again available in the United States and to anyone requiring USA standard key tip QD connections.

The 437 features a fixed 3/32" collet that opens and closes with a simple two-handed twist of the handpiece body — no key required. The fit, finish, and tolerances are characteristic of Swiss quality manufacturing, with every component assembling with the precision of a fine mechanical timepiece. This is a handpiece built for professionals who demand longevity and reliability from their tools.

Important notice regarding the duplex spring: Duplex springs are not manufactured by Badeco and are attached post-factory. The duplex spring and all parts related to the USA-made duplex spring connection carry no warranty. Duplex springs must not be bent beyond 45 degrees during use. Operating beyond this angle or bending during handpiece detachment can cause damage. Duplex springs may also fail during normal use.

If you select this duplex spring model, it is strongly recommended that you purchase additional inner duplex springs and learn how to replace them, as the inner spring is the component most likely to require replacement. Compatible replacement parts: single inner duplex spring — Part #134.279 (Foredom HP76); pack of 12 — Part #134.280 (Foredom HP76B).
