Badeco 465 Carbon Quick Change Handpiece MX Micromotors

The Badeco 465 Carbon Edition Quick Change Handpiece is the new and improved successor to the popular Badeco 450 handpiece, designed for use with MX Series and M4 ASF control boxes and powered by the Badeco RS2000 micromotor. As of January 2023, this handpiece is standard equipment on all Badeco MX Series Micromotors sold at OttoFrei.com. Built with genuine carbon external components and stainless steel construction, this Swiss-made handpiece delivers lighter weight, superior durability, and precision performance for professional jewelers and metalsmiths.

The 465 Carbon accepts 3/32" (2.34–2.35mm) diameter shank tools and opens and closes simply by twisting the body of the handpiece. Optional collets in 1.6mm and 3mm are available separately for expanded tool compatibility.

The collet on the Badeco 465 Carbon is extremely precise and is engineered for use with equally precise shank-size burs. Recommended bur brands include Busch, Brasseler (marketed as Fox Germany, Panther, or Komet), and Dentsply Maillefer (Otto Frei Swiss brand). American-made HSS burs are not recommended, as their shanks are not manufactured to the same uniform precision and will not yield optimal results in this handpiece.
