Description

Round carving wax stock for turning, milling, and hand carving lost wax patterns at the bench. Ferris File-A-Wax Round Rods are the carving waxes preferred by master jewelers for lost wax casting. Each pack contains 2 round rods measuring 1-5/16" (33.3mm) in diameter by 11-1/4" (285.8mm) in length. Ideal for rings, cuff links, pendants, medallions, and more, these waxes are easily sawed, carved, drilled, milled, and turned on a lathe. They burn out cleanly from molds, withstand rough handling, and will not soften in the hand. All formulas carry an approximate melting point of 240°F.

Must be burned out of investment molds. Not for use in steam dewaxers.
