Equalling Special Thickness Precision Files (LP1185) from Glardon-Vallorbe are parallel in both width and thickness, making them an ideal choice for filing slots and corners with precision. These 4" files are manufactured in Switzerland to exacting production standards, combining machine cutting with hand craftsmanship to deliver the accuracy, performance, and longevity demanded by professional jewelers and metalsmiths. Measurements given are at the thickest point of the file.

Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Precision Files are measured from the point where the teeth begin to the end of the file. A 4" precision file will measure longer overall from tip to end of tang — the stated length refers only to the cutting portion. Cut grades range from 00 (coarsest) to 6 (finest); the higher the number, the finer the cut. LP1185 is no longer available in 6" lengths.

These files are made of the finest heat-tempered, chrome alloy steel and deliver superior performance on all metals. Formerly distributed by Grobet USA under the Grobet Swiss brand name.
