Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss-Made Precision Files are the world's standard for quality and performance — engineered to precise production standards through a combination of machine cutting and hand craftsmanship. Made from the finest heat-tempered chrome alloy steel, these files deliver the accuracy, feel, and balanced action that true craftsmen demand. They perform superbly on all metals.

The Valtitan line represents the pinnacle of the Glardon-Vallorbe range. Specially treated to achieve 72 HRc on the Rockwell scale — the hardest steel file known — Valtitan files excel on hard-to-file surfaces including platinum and stainless steel, while working equally well across all metals. The treatment also makes these files corrosion resistant, longer lasting, and highly resistant to metal accumulation in the teeth; a simple knock is typically enough to clear chips. Beginning in 2016, Valtitan files are no longer produced with yellow painted tangs — the factory now imprints VALTITAN directly on the tang to identify them.

The Valtitan Half-Round Needle File is tapered in both width and thickness, ending in a rounded point, and is cut on both sides — making it a versatile choice for inside curves, flat surfaces, and tight contours.
