Description

Important Notice 10/22/26: Spearhead HSS burs have ceased production.  The Spearhead factory has closed and is no longer in business.  As we sell out of sizes these burs will no longer be available.

Ball burs cut and shape rounded forms at the bench, and Spearhead High Speed Steel (HSS) Ball Burs are precision-cut in the United States using modern equipment operated by highly trained professionals. Available in 34 sizes ranging from 0.90 mm to 11.00 mm, these burs are sold individually so you can stock exactly what your bench requires.

Otto Frei carries the Spearhead line of HSS Ball Burs exclusively. Each bur is easily identified by the size imprinted directly on the shank. Spearhead burs feature uniform, consistent geometries that produce clean, precise cuts every time. Professional stone setters rely on HSS burs because they outlast Tungsten Vanadium Steel burs, including German and Swiss-made alternatives, making them the more economical choice over time.
