The Technique Swiss Made Hammer Handpiece with Duplex Spring is a reciprocating hammer handpiece engineered for precision metalwork. Technique is recognized for producing high-quality quick-change handpieces, and this model carries that same commitment to craftsmanship. The slender, lightweight design makes it comfortable for extended bench use, and the adjustable stroke length allows the jeweler to dial in exactly the right impact for the task at hand. The handpiece includes one non-hardened tip and arrives with the duplex spring attachment already fitted.
Important motor requirement: This handpiece must be operated with a Low Speed High Torque Foredom motor (item 134.159). Running it on any other motor configuration will shorten the life of the duplex spring. Keep in mind that the foot pedal controls speed, not power.
Before purchasing the duplex spring model, please read carefully: Duplex springs are not manufactured by Technique and are attached post-factory. Duplex springs — and all parts related to the USA-made duplex spring connections — carry no warranty. Do not bend the duplex spring beyond 45 degrees during use. Bending beyond 45 degrees or improper detachment of the handpiece from the flex shaft can cause damage. Duplex springs can also fail during normal use. If you select this model, consider purchasing additional inner duplex springs and learning how to replace them. Replacement inner duplex spring part numbers: single piece — 134.279 (Foredom HP76); pack of 12 — 134.280 (Foredom HP76B).
