When will my order ship?

Order by 3:30 PM Pacific, Monday through Friday, and in-stock items usually ship the same business day. 3:30 PM Pacific is our usual cutoff, and we try our best to get later orders out the same day. Same business day shipping is not guaranteed, but our historical same-day shipping rate is over 90% of orders received on any business day.

After the cutoff

Orders placed after 3:30 PM Pacific ship the next business day. Orders placed Friday after 3:30 PM Pacific, or on Saturday or Sunday, start processing on the next business day, which is usually Monday.

When we ship

We ship Monday through Friday, from our warehouse in Oakland, California. We do not ship on weekends.

Holidays

We do not ship on company holidays, and there is no customer service on weekends and holidays. Orders placed on a holiday ship the next business day. Please note that orders placed just before some holidays can delay processing and shipping for up to 5 days. That delay in processing, combined with actual transit times, can delay your order delivery substantially. The current holiday schedule is listed below.

Making changes to your order

Any customer request to modify an order after you place it requires special handling and will delay order processing and shipping by at least one additional business day.

Built-to-order items

Some kit items are assembled when you order and can need an extra day or two before they ship.

Drop ship items

Some heavy items, like equipment and workbenches that require freight shipping, are drop shipped from the manufacturer. Drop shipping helps lower item cost. Drop ship items can require additional processing time, from 1 to 5 business days, before shipping. We will notify you if your item, or an item from your order of multiple items, drop ships.

Carriers

Most orders ship UPS, and smaller packages may ship USPS. Full options, including expedited and international services, appear at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.
