Rainbow Moonstone is the trade name for a variety of labradorite that shows a multi-colored adularescence over a light body color. It belongs to the same extended family of feldspar as moonstone, but is a variety of labradorite rather than orthoclase. This iridescent sheen is caused when light hits the microscopic mineral layers, creating flashes of spectral rainbow colors.

These AAA quality oval cabochons are ideal for jewelers and metalsmiths seeking fine-quality stones with strong optical phenomena for setting work, custom jewelry design, and resale.
