Del Rey™ Deadblow Mallets

Del Rey™ Deadblow Mallets are purpose-built striking tools for jewelers and metalsmiths who need controlled, powerful blows with minimal rebound. Each mallet features a nylon head and a hickory wood handle. The deadblow design incorporates internal shot that increases the force of each strike while significantly reducing recoil—minimizing hand fatigue and improving accuracy during repeated use. These mallets are also commonly referred to as shot hammers.

Use these mallets to bend, form, forge, flatten, and shape metal workpieces. To use: grip the workpiece firmly with pliers or another suitable holder, hold the piece against a solid backing such as a bench block, and strike with the mallet to achieve the desired result.
