A top-quality tungsten carbide solder pick built for precision soldering work, especially with platinum and other high-temperature alloys. The tungsten carbide tip offers exceptional heat resistance with a melting point exceeding 5,000°F — far surpassing titanium — making it the preferred choice for jewelers and metalsmiths working with demanding materials. Platinum will not stick to tungsten carbide, allowing for clean, controlled solder manipulation. The tip comes to a very sharp point for accurate placement.
