The ironstone backing provides natural reinforcement that makes Boulder Opal more resistant to cracks and fractures compared to other opals. This particular 10mm x 8mm oval stone is classified as No Opalescence — meaning it contains none of the characteristic color flash, yet each stone's pattern remains entirely unique and beautiful in its own right.
