Product Details

The Lindstrom 6151 Micro EDGE Tapered-Shear Cutter is part of the EDGE Series, engineered for professionals who demand durability and precision in a compact, lightweight cutter. Built from high-performance alloy steel with precision-ground cutting edges, this tool delivers a controlled edge overlap of less than 0.2mm for clean, accurate cuts on even the thinnest wires. The ergonomic, textured grips provide comfort and stability during extended use.

The Micro EDGE design prioritizes cutter durability, making it the ideal choice for demanding applications. Strong bevel blades combined with bypass cutting action deliver a precise, flush cut, while the built-in return spring and opening limiter ensure smooth, consistent operation that helps minimize hand fatigue over long work sessions.

Notes

  • Cutting limits printed on the handles are rated for soft copper wire only. Metal alloys commonly used in jewelry are significantly harder and will shorten tool life accordingly.
  • Micro bevel blades leave a slight peak on one side of the cut wire. This geometry provides superior durability compared to flush cutters and supports a wider cutting range.
  • All flush and bevel-style cutters should be considered consumable tools when used in professional jewelry applications.
  • If tip damage occurs, grinding the undamaged side down to match the damaged side may allow continued use. Dents or nicks in the cutting surface indicate that the wire hardness exceeded the limits of the cutter.
  • Lindstrom cutters are not guaranteed against damage resulting from use beyond rated cutting limits.
