Description

Un étau vertical d'établi maintient les mandrins, les tas et les outils de formage à la verticale afin que vous puissiez marteler contre une base solide. L'étau vertical d'établi Value Line est un étau en acier robuste conçu pour offrir aux bijoutiers, aux métalliers et aux artisans travaillant à l'établi une prise verticale sûre sur les mandrins, les tas et les outils de formage. Fixez verticalement des mandrins à bracelets, des mandrins à bagues ou des outils à emboutir et martelez en toute confiance : cet étau offre une stabilité proche de celle d'une enclume malgré un encombrement étonnamment compact, et il est fabriqué en Inde.

Les mâchoires de 3-1/2" × 3-1/2" comportent deux rainures qui se croisent, l'une allant de l'avant vers l'arrière et l'autre d'un côté à l'autre, afin que les tas et les mandrins puissent être bloqués dans les deux directions pour une polyvalence maximale. La poignée en T se rabat pour ne pas gêner pendant le martelage, afin de garder votre espace de travail dégagé et votre travail en sécurité.

Deux options de montage sont intégrées : fixez rapidement l'étau à votre établi à l'aide de la pince en C intégrée, ou retirez la pince en C et boulonnez directement l'étau à travers les quatre trous d'angle pour une installation permanente. Aucun boulon n'est fourni pour le montage direct.

Very useful

The basic idea is great - a regular vise isn't the tool of choice for holding a mandrel horizontally. Also, being able to clamp it to the bench top means I'm not committing surface area when not in use. Don't worry about sturdiness - that clamp holds it to the benchtop very firmly, if you tighten it hard enough. Still, I can't give it the highest marks. The clamp that holds it to a benchtop comes off easily, if permanent mounting suits you. But, when I got this vise, the bolts that hold the clamp to the vise base didn't hold. The ends of the bolts had been chamfered to mate with threaded holes, but the chamfer cut back so much of the thread that one bolt didn't engage at all. The second bolt was chamfered the same way, sout I doubt that much was holding things together. The supplier (not Frei) replaced the bolts and got me working. After two other small snags, it does the job. A very helpful tool - but setup took a lot more fussing than I expected.
