The Durston 1312 Quad Jump Ringer and OttoFlex S Flex Shaft Combo brings together everything you need to start mass-producing jump rings — except the wire. This competitively priced kit pairs the Durston 1312 Quad Jump Ringer with the OttoFlex S Model 2 flex shaft, giving jewelers and metalsmiths a complete, ready-to-use jump ring making system.

The Durston 1312 Quad Jump Ringer is designed for use with a Foredom No. 30 style handpiece and flex shaft machine. It allows you to mass-produce jump rings from soft, non-ferrous jewelry wire — including gold, copper, and silver. Wire as thick as 13 gauge (1.85 mm) is supported, with inside diameters ranging from 2.5 mm to 12 mm. The most popular wire sizes used in the jewelry industry for jump rings range from 0.8 mm to 1.0 mm.

Unlike the Durston Complete Jump Ringer, the Quad model does not include a stand — it uses a simple vise or bench-mounted hand coiler — making it a more affordable option. It includes all the same 20 mandrels and uses the same handpiece holder and high-speed steel saw blade. A key differentiator is the Quad Coil Holder, which is 4-sided for more precise angles when holding specific ring sizes.

The included mandrels range from 2.5 mm to 12 mm in 1/2 mm increments. Note: the three smallest mandrels (2.5 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm) are not drilled with holes. All other mandrels are drilled.

Not for use with platinum, titanium, steel, or niobium wire.

The OttoFlex S Model 2 Flex Shaft is a top-quality, value-priced flex shaft built for jewelers and craftspeople. Its sealed bearing motor is rated at 1/8 HP with a maximum speed of 20,000 RPM. The foot control delivers excellent low-speed control with smooth modulation up to full power. The No. 30 style adjustable chuck handpiece features noticeably improved fit and finish over previous value-priced models.

The OttoFlex S Model 2 is compatible with all Foredom handpieces and 110V speed controls. It shares no parts with the original OttoFlex flex shafts; its shafts and sheaths are similar to those used on the Foredom SR model.
