The Foredom K.2253-2 Chisel Carving Kit is a complete, ready-to-use system built around the Series LX flex shaft motor, designed specifically for chisel carving and stone setting applications that demand high torque at low speed. This 230V kit includes the motor, speed control, chisel handpiece, and three full chisel sets — 17 chisels in total — along with flex shaft grease and an accessory tray.

Features

• Series LX Motor (M.LX-2-230V): Permanent magnet, high-torque/low-speed motor with a 5,000 RPM maximum. Ideal for chisel carving and stone setting where extra torque at reduced speed is essential.
• EMX Table Top Speed Control (C.EMX-2-230V): Dial-style tabletop control in a plastic housing. Converts AC current to DC current required by the LX motor. Compatible with TXR, SXR, and EMX-style controls — not compatible with Series SR speed controls.
• H.50 Chisel Handpiece: Reciprocating hammer-type handpiece designed for power-assisted carving in wood, plastic, plaster, and soft carving stone. Engages hammering action with light pressure. Features a textured plastic barrel and tapered aluminum tip. Attaches to any Foredom or standard (USA) key tip flex shaft. Not recommended for high-speed operation — pairs perfectly with the LX motor's 5,000 RPM limit.

Compatibility

The H.50 handpiece attaches to any Foredom or other flex shaft with a standard (USA) key tip shaft. The M.LX motor is compatible with TXR, SXR, and EMX speed controls. The LX motor does not work with Series SR speed controls.

Notes

This is the 230V export version of the K.2253-2 kit. A local plug adapter is required for use outside North America. The H.50 chisel handpiece should not be operated at high speeds; the LX motor's built-in 5,000 RPM limit and the EMX constant-speed dial control are specifically suited to its operating requirements.
