Description
Seamless sterling silver round tubing sold in 3" (76.2 mm) lengths, ideal for hinge tubes, tube-set stones, bezels, and precision fabrications. Ordering sizes are approximate; exact factory measurements are listed in the Available Options table below as OD × ID with suggested insert wire gauge and wall type.
How to Choose
- Hinges: Select tubing with an inside diameter (ID) just larger than your hinge pin. Use a slightly smaller diameter wire than the ID for a proper fit.
- Tube setting stones: Pick an outside diameter (OD) approximately 0.5 mm larger than the stone, and an ID smaller than the stone so it does not drop through. Cut the seat with a bur the exact size of the stone.
- All sizes are sterling silver; not medical-grade material.
Bench Tips
- If your stone sits between sizes, choose the next smaller ID. You can slightly expand the mouth with a center punch before cutting the seat to create a subtle taper.
- Use bezel setting tools (e.g., part #153.154MA) for fast, uniform tube settings.
