Product Details

The Durston Professional Razor Flush Oval Cutter 115mm delivers sharp, laser-precision edges for seamless, repeatable cuts on fine jewelry work. The tapered shape provides enhanced access to close work areas and intricate details, while the oval head design makes the jaws more substantial than tapered-head cutters — extending blade life and increasing overall strength.

These cutters are built with a lap joint construction, where one half overlaps the other and is secured with an adjustable screw. This allows the joint to be fine-tuned as needed over the life of the tool. The double-leaf spring mechanism — flat, tempered metal tabs mounted to the inside of each handle — holds the jaws open until squeezed, delivering a fast, strong rebound for enhanced productivity during repetitive cutting tasks.

Ergonomic poly handles provide a comfortable, secure grip to reduce hand fatigue during extended use.

Notes

Important: Durston cutters are not guaranteed. Cutting capacity limits are based on soft copper wire only — metal alloys commonly used in jewelry are significantly harder. All flush cutters are delicate instruments. Exercise caution when cutting with the tips; use the middle of the cutting edge whenever possible.

If tip damage occurs, grind the undamaged side down to match the damaged side and continue use. Dents in the cutting surface indicate the metal being cut exceeds the tool's hardness limits. As commonly used in the jewelry industry, flush cutters of all types should be considered consumable labor-saving devices.

Do not use on nickel-based white gold alloys or ferrous metals.
