Description

The Durston #1 Rawhide Mallet has a 1-1/2" (32mm) face diameter. Ii is  a professional-grade forming tool built for jewelers and metalsmiths who need to shape sheet metal without marring or marking the surface. Constructed from highly durable buffalo rawhide, this mallet delivers controlled, even strikes that move metal effectively while preserving finish integrity. The head is both screwed and glued for a secure, long-lasting assembly, and the shaped hickory handle provides a comfortable, confident grip during extended use.

With a compact head size and balanced construction, this small mallet is well-suited for detail forming work, chasing, and general bench use where precision and surface protection are equally important.
