The Eschenbach MaxDetail Clip is a lightweight binocular magnifier designed for eyeglass wearers who need a comfortable, unobtrusive magnification solution at the bench. Drawing on the proven success of Eschenbach's MaxDetail line, the MaxDetail Clip attaches directly to your existing prescription eyeglasses — eliminating the need to adjust individual lenses as required with standard frame-mounted MaxDetail loupes.
What sets the MaxDetail Clip apart is its double lens Galilean optical system, which delivers 2x magnification at a generous 15-inch focal distance. Single-lens clip-ons and headband magnifiers are constrained by optical physics to trade magnification for working distance. The Galilean design of the MaxDetail Clip overcomes this limitation, providing a wide 3-3/8" field of view while keeping your work at a comfortable arm's length distance.
The lenses are fixed within the clip frame, and the assembly can be adjusted up or down with set screws to center the lenses relative to your eyes. When not in use, the MaxDetail Clip flips up completely out of the way. You can also see around the lenses during use — similar to working with progressive eyeglasses — for a natural, fatigue-reducing experience during extended sessions.
