Description

Glardon-Vallorbe Equalling Escapement Files are Swiss made precision files featuring square handles. Escapement file lengths are measured from tip to the end of the cut — the tang is not included in this measurement. These files are also commonly called watchmakers files.

Equalling escapement files are parallel in width and thickness. They are used primarily for filing slots and corners. Measurements given are at the thickest point.

Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Files are manufactured to precise production standards, using a combination of machine cutting and hand craftsmanship to produce accurate, long-lasting files. They are made of fine heat-tempered, chrome alloy steel and deliver superior performance on all metals.

Features

  • Parallel in width and thickness — ideal for filing slots and corners
  • Square handles for precise control
  • Cut length measured from point where teeth begin to where cut stops — tang not included
  • Made of heat-tempered, chrome alloy steel
  • Swiss made to precise production standards combining machine cutting and hand craftsmanship
  • Available in three cuts: #2 Medium, #4 Fine, #6 X-Fine — higher number indicates finer cut
