An everyday tool transformed. The GreenLion Studios V3 OG Jewelers Saw Frame takes a workshop essential and refines it with thoughtful engineering and clean aesthetics. Built as a single piece for increased control and precision, this saw frame delivers precise cuts without compromising style.
The V3 OG features a comfortable soft thermoplastic handle — slightly smaller than the original GreenLion Saw Frame — injection molded over an 11-gauge steel frame and embossed with the GreenLion symbol. Enlarged thumbscrews make blade changes quick and easy, while the blade locking mechanism allows effortless switching between right- and left-handed configurations. Made in small batches in the USA, this is a frame built for jewelers who care about both performance and craftsmanship.

The flat handle works well, and hand-tightening capability eliminates need for shoulder/sternum pressure. Shoppers noted it's beginner-friendly and may require minor strength adjustment from heavier frames.
I always had the classic saw frame that I bought during my first year as a student in jewelry, with the black wooden handle and steel frame. This is the first time I change in 11 years. This one is lighter, the handle is smooth and comfortable, and the design is beautiful. It is a very good one for a beginner too. It took me a minute to readjust my strength to fit the lightness of this saw frame. I was concerned because I'm used to a round handle, this one is flat, but it's actually not at all a problem. You can also tighten the saw with your hand, no need to use your shoulder or sternum anymore. That's a huge plus for me !
The balance is amazing
I love this beautiful saw. I’m a beginner, but it is the only saw I use.
I do love my Green lion sawframe. It cuts beautifully and steadily, so easy to change blades and it looks beautiful too! The only problem I have is that my hand is quite small and I found the handle to be too bulky and sometimes makes my hand sore. All in all, well made and great to use.
Exceptional saw frame!!
Got my new saw frame. First time I tried this kind. I love it, I'm very happy. It's much better than the ones available in jewelry school. It arrived quickly too.
i am very pleased with the saw. it is easy to use, the price is good, and the shipping cost internationally was a pleasant surprise.
I wish I had purchased this saw frame much sooner! It took a while to get used to the rigidity after being used to a more flexible frame, but I am really happy with it after some use. It’s made very well, balanced nicely, and has reduced the number of broken and bent blades (and subsequent changes). I really have no complaints, but IF there were a version with a wooden handle I’d go for another.... hint hint
It’s nice to work w a tool that works great and beautiful to look at...
I had three. I gave one to my brother. I missed it so much I bought two more to replace it. I have 4 now. It’s best tool I own.
The frame is no longer water jet cut, it appears stamped out of 11 gauge metal (0.115 inch). This leaves a sharp edge around the saw frame that was sufficient to rub my index finger raw.The handle is a black rubberized material; but the injection molding leaves a thin ridge/parting line where the two halves meet. The thumbscrews are nice, round and winged. When I tightened the blade, the bottom one was perpendicular to the Earth's surface! Instead of it resting flat on or above my thumb, it laid that sharp, square edge right between my nail bed and first knuckle joint! The center of gravity is definitely behind the thumb Blade tensioning was easy for me. You can still use the classic chest to bench technique, just don't fold the saw! Having said that, after breaking the sharp edges with a file and wet/dry, trimming the rubber with 60 grit sandpaper, and adjusting my grip, it has become my favorite saw.
Really like this beautiful sawframe
This is by far the best saw I have and I have several types from basic to locking cam styles. This saw is perfectly balanced and the handle hold design is such that all my hand has to do is guide the saw. I don't need to have any great grip on it. Love, love, love it!
GreenLion has designed a beautiful looking and smooth functioning saw frame. Cuts are very straight as the blade is held steady and there isn't any wobble to it. The handle is very comfortable to hold. If I could have a wooden handle, I would like it even more. Metal dust sticks to the handle but it brushes off. It does take a bit of strength to change the blade but I have broken less blades than ever. All in all, this is an excellent tool and is worth every dollar.
Finally, the Green Lion people have made the saw frame I've been looking for my whole jewelry career. Solidly built, holds the saw blades without slipping and twisting which has always been a problem with other frames. Plus it's a beautiful design that enhances the workspace I spend so much time in.
Received my order the other day and it is an amazing saw. Comfortable and well balanced. Wished I had waited 3 days and ordered during the Cyber Monday ssle, 6 dozen free saw blades would of been icing in the cake.

I ve a Jewlery workshop now for over 20 years, but this is the best saw I ever had. Smooth, straight, excellent. Good grip, well ballanced. Love it
This is the best saw frame. I've donated my other ones because I like this one so much. It is balanced in weight and is very deep, making it easier to saw bangle strips, etc. My GreenLion says it believes in me, and I believe in it.
