GRS 022-588 Sam Alfano Hammer & Chisel Complete Kit

Learn traditional hammer-and-chisel engraving with guidance from master engraver Sam Alfano. This complete kit centers on hand techniques—sharpening chisels by hand and engraving foundational designs—so you can build skills without extensive machinery. Ideal for jewelers and engravers who want a practical introduction to classic methods.

Features

• Traditional workflow: hand-sharpen chisels and engrave with hammer & chisel—no pneumatic tool required.
• Versatile tool set: five gravers and QC tool holders support a range of line, bright-cut, and shading techniques.
• Comfort & control: quality wood handles and a balanced chasing hammer for precise strikes.
• Guided learning: included instructional DVD by Sam Alfano demonstrates setup, sharpening, and core cuts.

Applications

• Foundational engraving practice: lines, curves, shading, and scroll elements
• Jewelry and small-object engraving
• Skill-building before advancing to pneumatic systems

What's Included

Notes

• For best results, practice on softer metals (e.g., copper, brass, sterling silver) before moving to harder alloys.
