The 8140RX features Oval Jaws, which are rounded at the tip — distinguishing them from Tapered Jaw models where the tip is only slightly rounded. This oval profile provides a familiar, versatile cutting geometry suited to a wide range of wire-working tasks.

The Micro Bevel cutting edge incorporates a very slight bevel, delivering increased blade strength and durability compared to flush cutters. While the micro bevel will leave a slight peak on one side of the cut wire, it supports an exceptionally wide cutting range and broad versatility across applications where absolute flush cuts are not required.
