Miller Smith H743 Flashback Arrestors-Torch Mounted-Pair

The Miller Smith H743 Flashback Arrestors are a torch-mounted pair of combination flashback arrestors and check valves designed to be installed between the torch body and the hose. These units are built for larger torches equipped with type B (9/16" connections) on the torch body itself, including casting and melting torches. Each unit performs two critical safety functions: stopping reverse gas flow and extinguishing flashback fires.

Important: These arrestors are designed for torches with type B (9/16" connections) on the torch body. They will not fit the Little Torch, Meco Midget Torch, Swiss Torch, or Swiss Torch II. For those torches, use regulator-mounted combination flashback arrestors/check valves (114.389), which have flow restrictions oriented in the opposite direction. There are no torch-mounted flashback arrestors compatible with those smaller torch models.

• A check valve stops the reverse flow of gas. A flashback arrestor extinguishes a flashback fire. These units do both.
• A flashback is an ignition of mixed gases within an oxy-fuel cutting or welding system and poses serious safety risks.
• Do not use these torch-mounted arrestors on the Little Torch, Meco Midget Torch, Swiss Torch, or Swiss Torch II. Use regulator-mounted unit 114.389 for those torches instead.
• Unit 114.389 (regulator-mounted) looks identical to these torch-mounted versions but has flow restrictions oriented in the opposite direction — the two types are not interchangeable.
