Named after the Amazon River that runs through Brazil, amazonite is a striking alternative to turquoise. Its distinctive blue-green color, grid-like white streaks, and faint sheen give it a character that stands apart from other cabochon stones. Part of the feldspar group, the mineral albite is responsible for the characteristic white mottling that runs through each stone. These oval cabochons are well-suited for setting in rings, pendants, earrings, and other fabricated metalwork.
Clean with warm, soapy water only. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners.
