Oval Genuine Emerald Cabochon

Emerald is considered the world's finest green gemstone and has been highly prized and coveted for centuries, from Cleopatra to European royalty. Emerald is part of the beryl family, and availability of fine quality is limited. Almost all emeralds have inclusions visible to the naked eye — the trade term Jardin is used to describe these characteristic mossy-like inclusions. The majority of emeralds are also treated, with fractures filled with colorless oil to improve the stone's color and overall appearance.

These oval cabochons are sold individually and are well-suited for setting in rings, pendants, earrings, and other fine jewelry applications. Clean with warm, soapy water only. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners.
