Peddiman 403 Raising Hammer 400 Gram

RAISING HAMMER - Two rectangular faces; each longer than it is wide. Used to create a seamless form through compression over a raising stake without thinning the metal. This is similar to David Huang's choice for raising round vessels fast. It's a heavy hammer at 400 grams and moves metal quickly. It can also be used as an embossing hammer and heavy fluting. The 403 raising hammer can also be used for concave forging tasks. Charles Lewton-Brain lists this hammer in his Foldforming book.

The length of the head is 120mm and the face diameter is 32x17mm on one face and 31x20mm on the other.
