Aquamarine takes its name from the Latin for "sea water," displaying a cool blue that ranges from greenish blue to blue-green. A member of the Beryl family — which also includes Emerald and Morganite — aquamarine tends to grow in large crystals with high clarity, making it a prized choice for jewelry setting. Aquamarine is the official birthstone for March. These cabochons are heat-treated to enhance their characteristic sky blue color and are suitable for a wide range of setting styles.
