Replacement Steel Catch Tray Insert

The Replacement Steel Catch Tray Insert is a direct replacement for the catch tray on the John Frei Custom Workbench. Originally, John Frei Custom Workbench catch trays featured a zinc-based metal insert; however, the standard material was updated to steel in the late 1990s and has remained steel ever since. This steel catch tray insert is designed to be riveted, nailed, or otherwise attached to a wood frame—once secured, the insert will lie flat.

Features

• Designed as a replacement catch tray insert for the John Frei Custom Workbench
• Steel construction—the current standard material since the late 1990s, replacing the original zinc-based insert
• Measures 24" (600mm) wide by 20" (505mm) front to back at the sides.  Front to back from center of curve is 17-1/2" (445mm)
• Measurements include flat edges which are approximately 1"(25mm) all around
• Approximately 2-1/4" (58mm) deep at the edges. Depth may be a mm or 2 deeper in the middle.
• Attaches to a wood frame via rivets, nails, or similar fasteners
• Will straighten and lie flat once properly secured to a frame
