Description

Composed of man-made corundum with the same chemical composition and durability as natural ruby, this square faceted lab-created ruby offers excellent clarity with vivid, even coloration. Known as the "King of Gems" in Sanskrit, ruby is one of the most desired and valuable gemstones, prized since biblical times.

Ruby is the most valuable variety of corundum and commands the highest per-carat price of any colored stone. Color ranges from orangy red to purplish red, with pure, vivid red to slightly purplish red representing the highest valued hue. These lab-created stones deliver consistent color and clarity that rival natural specimens, making them an excellent choice for finished jewelry, metal clay work, and stone-in-place casting applications.

Clean with warm, soapy water. Use of an ultrasonic or steam cleaner is usually safe.
